Black Africa target victory against Civics
Submitted by editor on Thu, 10/28/2010 - 18:45.Black Africa will be targeting a win against Civics at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Friday night in a bid to narrow the deficit on log leaders Ramblers.
Black Africa are currently third on the log, with nine points after winning last weekend’s match against Eleven Arrows 1-0. They have so far won three matches and lost two.
Civics on the other hand lost last weekend’s match against Blue Waters 1-0 resulting in them falling to sixth position on the log with seven points.
Sport stars to be honoured
Submitted by editor on Thu, 10/28/2010 - 15:15.Friday evening will see the crowning of Namibia’s new Sportsman and Woman of the Year at the 2010 MTC NSC Sport Awards.
In the Sportsman of the Year category, there are five finalists and one of the favourites to win is boxer Paulus “The Rock” Ambunda who is the current WBO Africa bantamweight titleholder and is ranked fourth in the world by the World Boxing Organisation. He is ranked 27th in the world by the influential boxrec.com website.
