Premier League resumes

Klaas Blom

The MTC Namibia Premier League resumes after the Christmas break when the second round gets underway with a number of interesting encounters next week.

On Wednesday, January 13 second placed Orlando Pirates face a tricky encounter against fifth placed Tigers. Under new coach Brian Isaacs, Tigers have had their best start in years and lost only one match in the first round, going down 1-0 away to Eleven Arrows on November 7.

They are currently fifth on 20 points – only four points behind Pirates – and a victory will bring them right back in the title chase.

Nedbank supports Craven

Dan Craven

Namibia’s 2008 African Road Cycling champion, Dan Craven, is joining forces with Nedbank Namibia to host a training camp for young cyclists in Omaruru from 22- 24 January.

“This will be the second camp held in Omaruru and is now set to become a permanent feature on the Namibian Sporting Calendar thanks to the support and faith shown by such an important financial institution such as Nedbank,” Craven said.
