Lindemeier excels in Nairobi

Daniela Lindemeier excelled at the CANA Zone 3 and 4 Swimming Championships in Nairobi, Kenya over the weekend, winning seven medals as well as receiving a trophy as the Victrix Ludorum runner up.

Competing in the girls’ 17/18 year old category, the 17-year-old Lindemeier won four gold and three silver medals, while she also established a new CANA record in the 100m breaststroke event. Her new record of 1 minute 17,54 seconds was nearly a second faster than the previous record of 1:18.47.

The development Cycling Camp to be held in Omaruru from 22 – 24 January has received another major boost with the news that Cymot has come aboard as a second main sponsor, while Hyundai motors will be providing the vehicles to transport the young riders from Windhoek to the camp.

Cymot has been a major player in cycling since the birth of the Namibian cycling scene in the Seventies.
