The MTC NPL Player of the Season award will be contested between Jerome Louis of Black Africa, Rudolph Bester of Eleven Arrows and Ninja Karongee of league champions African Stars.

Ninja Karongee, Jerome Louis and Rudolph Bester have been nominated for the prestigious NPL Player of the Season award which carries a prize of N$15 000 and will be announced at the MTC NPL Awards ceremony on Friday evening.

NPL administrator Tovey Hoebeb said that the finalists for the award had been selected after coaches from the 12 Premier League clubs submitted their nominations.

Rehoboth Town, better known by its nickname, Tsanes will be the centre of attraction when FNB Namibia takes its FNB Rugby Classic Clashes about 90km south of the capital for a fun-filled FNB Rugby Classic Clashes festive programme. Dr. Lemmer, probably the oldest school in Rehoboth with a long-standing impressive academic and rugby profile will square up with M&K Gertze on Saturday, 11th July 2009. The main FNB Rugby Classic Clashes match will start at 13h00 at the Dr. Lemmer Sport Fields.
