A last minute goal by striker Leonard Stanley gave Hotspurs a hard fought 3-2 victory against Eleven Arrows at a chilly Khomasdal Stadium on Wednesday night. The match seemed to be heading for a draw when Stanley popped up unmarked at the far post to head a loose ball into the net.
The goal was just reward for Hotspurs’ never say die fighting spirit, while Arrows owner JJ Doeseb was left fuming afterwards.
“There are going to be a lot of changes amongst the technical staff and the players,” he told Namibia Sport after the match.
Black Africa and Brave Warriors icon Sylvester Lolo Goraseb announced his retirement from football at a press conference attended by prominent members of Namibia’s football fraternity at the NFA Soccer House on Wednesday. Goraseb said he would play his last match in Windhoek on Saturday evening against arch rivals Orlando Pirates, while Black Africa’s final match of the season will be away to Oshakati City on June 20.
