Stanley scores last minute winner for Hotspurs
Submitted by editor on Wed, 06/10/2009 - 22:20.A last minute goal by striker Leonard Stanley gave Hotspurs a hard fought 3-2 victory against Eleven Arrows at a chilly Khomasdal Stadium on Wednesday night. The match seemed to be heading for a draw when Stanley popped up unmarked at the far post to head a loose ball into the net.
The goal was just reward for Hotspurs’ never say die fighting spirit, while Arrows owner JJ Doeseb was left fuming afterwards.
“There are going to be a lot of changes amongst the technical staff and the players,” he told Namibia Sport after the match.
