Brave Warriors beat SA Development Team

Namibia’s Brave Warriors completed their preparations for the Cosafa Senior Challenge with a 2-1 victory against South Africa’s Development Team at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Tuesday night.

South Africa took an early lead when on 6m when an unmarked Gladwin Shitolo received the ball at the far post and scored from close range, but Namibia immediately struck back with a great goal two minutes later.
After a fine run by Sydney Plaatjies, Rudi Louw crossed from the right wing to Tangeni Shipahu who volleyed the ball into the net with a great first time shot.

Namibian swimmers excel at World Cup

Four Namibian swimmers who participated in the World Cup Short Course Gala in Durban on October 16 and 17, excelled by establishing several new Namibian age group and open records.

Quinton Delie set six new records in the men’s 200m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke and 100m Individual Medley events.

In the 200m Freestyle he set a new Namibian Age Group and Open record with a great time of 1:54,58.
The previous Age Group record was 2:03.84 held by Maximiliam Siedentopf, while the Open record of 2:00,78 already belonged to Delie.
