Nestor Tobias, the trainer and promoter of newly crowned WBA lightweight champion Paulus The Hitman Moses hopes to stage the Hitman’s first title defence in Namibia by April. By the end of the year he is planning to take the United States “by storm.”
With the start of the new year, athletics in Namibia got underway with the traditional Air Namibia Athletics Coaching Clinic in Windhoek on Tuesday. The clinic, which has been conducted by Quinton Steele Botes for the past 16 years, once again had a big turnout of close to 300 athletes who took the opportunity to get into shape for the new year.
The clinic has grown from strength to strength over the years and besides a regular increase in participants, it has also seen an increase in sponsors coming on board.
