The MTC Development Hockey Tournament takes place on Saturday at the Doc Jubber Hockey Fields in Olympia.

The Development Tournament formed an integral part of the annual hockey calendar during the Nineties when the Standard Bank Hockey Development Programme was still going strong. Hockey was introduced to all 13 regions of Namibia and teams from these regions battled it out in the Development Tournament on an annual basis.
Standard Bank however stopped its sponsorship at the beginning of the decade and the tournament has not been held since 2002.
