Team Namibia fared much better during Stage Two of the Giro del Capo on March 7, moving up from 18th to 10th position overall in the team competition.
Stage 2 consisted of a 129km road race from the Western Cape towns of Paarl to Stellenbosch. In Stellenbosch the cyclists still had to complete five laps on the steep and winding Helshoogte Pass to complete the stage.

Gaby Ahrens won a silver medal for Namibia at the African Shooting Championships, which took place in Cairo from March 1 â?? 10.
Ahrens was in brilliant form and narrowly missed out on the gold medal in the Olympic Trap, Clay Target category, which would have ensured her participation at the 2008 Olympic Games.
