Namibia beat Canada by 8 wickets
Submitted by editor on Sun, 10/28/2007 - 20:37.Namibia beat Canada by eight wickets in their ICC Intercontinental Cup match at the Wanderers field in Windhoek on Sunday, October 28.
After forcing the follow on, Namibia dismissed Canada for 295 runs in their second innings, leaving a victory target of 102 runs.
Ramblers hold out
Submitted by editor on Sun, 10/28/2007 - 20:14.Ramblers beat Orlando Pirates on penalties in their FNB Cup quarterfinal match at Windhoekâ??s Independence Stadium on October 28, after a goalless 90 minutes.
Pirates had only themselves to blame for their defeat to Ramblers. Ramblers defender Dylan Mieze was sent off for swearing in the 35th minute, but despite enjoying a surfeit of possession, Pirates couldnâ??t make their numerical advantage count.
SKW beat Stars on penalties
Submitted by editor on Sun, 10/28/2007 - 20:02.Cymot SKW beat African Stars 4-3 on penalties at Windhoekâ??s Independence Stadium on October 28 to go through to the FNB Cup semifinals.
SKW had their keeper Heribert Kapeng to thank as he brought off two fine saves in the shootout to see them through 4-3 on penalties.
Pirates 4 Fedics 1

Pirates went on the attack from the start and immediately put Fedicsâ?? defence under pressure. With a star-studded attack of Riaan Cloete, Rudi Louw, Patrick Jagger and Klaas Blom combining well, they had Fedicsâ?? defence stretched to the limit.
Stars beat Blue Waters

Stars got off to the perfect start when Brouwers Litombo broke free and beat Blue Waters keeper Melvin Bruwer to stab a high ball into the net in the 2nd minute.
SKW 3 Oshakati City 0
Submitted by editor on Sun, 10/28/2007 - 10:28.Cymot SKW beat Oshakati City 3-0 in their first round FNB Cup match at Windhoekâ??s Independence Stadium on Saturday, October 27.
Oshakati were in with a chance for most of the game and only had themselves to blame for the defeat.
Namibia close to victory
Submitted by editor on Sun, 10/28/2007 - 08:51.Namibia were in a strong position to win their Intercontinental Cup match against Canada at the end of the third dayâ??s play, with Canada on 235/6 â?? a lead of just 41 runs.
Namibia dismissed Canada for 286 in their first innings and enforced the follow on.
