Ramblers beat SKW
Submitted by editor on Thu, 11/30/2006 - 06:18.Two late goals against 10-man SKW gave Ramblers a lucky win at Windhoekâ??s Independence Stadium on November 29.
SKW had the better of the first half, with midfielder Marco van Wyk and right winger Albertus Cloete in fine form. Cloete created several chances with his crosses from the right, while SKW spurned at least three other clearcut chances.

The early season surprise leaders Cymot SKW take on Ramblers at 19h00, while Tigers take on African Stars at 21h00.
Gawaseb suspended as NFA Secretary General
Submitted by editor on Tue, 11/28/2006 - 11:28.The Namibia Football Association (NFA) on November 28 announced that Barry Rukoro had been appointed as its acting Secretary General, following the suspension of Alpheus Gaweseb.
At a press conference at Soccer House, NFA spokesperson Beau Kauta said that Gaweseb had been suspended for two months during which time his contract with the NFA would be sorted out. Gawasebâ??s contract was renewed for two years shortly before former NFA president Petrus Damaseb resigned in March, 2006.
Swimming records for Siedentopf

On September 23, 2006 in Magdeburg, Germany, the young Namibian swimmer broke the Namibian 50m breaststroke short course record for boys u15/16 in a new record time of 33.35 seconds. He also set a new record for the 200m breaststroke in a time of 2:36.42.
Blue Waters and Civics through

Blue Waters beat Ramblers 2-0 while Civics edged out Oshakati City 1-0 at Gobabis on November 26 to qualify for the semi finals.
Oshakati shock Pirates
Submitted by editor on Sun, 11/26/2006 - 10:35.Oshakati City shocked Orlando Pirates with a 1-0 victory in their FNB Cup first round match at Gobabis on November 25.
Pirates dominated the match but spurned numerous scoring opportunities especially in the first half. Oshakati rode their luck and midway through the second half Cascas Angula pounced onto a cross to steer the ball into the net for the only goal of the game.
Namibia crush Griquas
Submitted by editor on Sun, 11/26/2006 - 10:19.Namibia beat Griquas by 107 runs to move to the top of the SAA Cup competition.
A great century by JB Burger put Namibia on track to a big first innings total of 329 for 9 off 45 overs.
Burger and Dawid Botha put on 61 runs off only 10 overs before Botha was bowled by Pietersen for 21.
DTS Hockey awards

Offner, the secretary of the club and Slabbert, who headed its development programme, shared the trophy for outstanding services rendered to the club.
Great victory for Namibia
Submitted by editor on Fri, 11/24/2006 - 15:32.Namibia beat Griqualand West by three wickets after a great fight back on the final day of their SAA Challenge match in Kimberley on November 24.
After dismissing Griquas for 154 in their second innings, Namibia were left with a winning target of 244 to win the match. With the pressure on, they rose to the occasion and brilliant batting by Tatenda Taibu and Sarel Burger ensured their victory.
