Black Africa and African Stars booked themselves places in the semifinals of the FNB Cup soccer tournament over the weekend.
Black Africa beat newly promoted Golden Bees 1-0 on Sunday at Mariental Sports Stadium to seal their semifinal place. Midfielder Berres Rooi struck the only goal of the match.
Namibia staged a magnificent fightback to beat Gauteng by four wickets in their limited overs SAA Cup match on November 19.
The previous day Gauteng comfortably beat Namibia by eight wickets in their SAA Challenge three-day match, but on Sunday, a great innings of 95 not out by Tatenda Taibu, coupled by some disciplined bowling saw Namibia reaching the winning target with two overs to spare.
