Bee Bob, Celtics, Epupa and Lions join First Division

First Division

Bee Bob Brothers, Celtics, Epupa 11 Stars and African Lions are promoted to the Nationwide First Division after winning the playoffs held over the weekend.

Bee Bob Brothers won the Southern Stream First Division playoffs held at the Kuisebmond Stadium in Walvis Bay while Celtics finished as runners-up to join them in the second-tier of Namibian football.

The two sides recorded big victories over the weekend including Celtics’ 8-0 win over Shaluza Chiefs, while Bee Bob Brothers defeated Dates Eleven 5-0.

Namibian athletes shine in Ingolstadt

Namibia’s top athletes rounded off their preparations for the African Athletics Championships in style, when they took Ingolstadt by storm during an exciting International MTV meeting in the German region of Bavaria on Friday night.

All Africa Games double bronze medallist Tjipekapora Herunga was the first to step on the track and she did not disappoint. Herunga dominated the 400m race putting her competitors under pressure from the start and was already in the lead at 200m and kept her composure as she accelerated  to win in 53.25.
