Herunga, Mayova in 200m final

Tjipekapora Herunga and Globine Mayova were in great form at the African Athletics Championships in Porto Novo, Benin on Saturday as both reached the final of the women’s 200m.
Herunga came third in the first heat of the semifinals in a time of 23,59, while Mayova came second in the second semifinal heat in 24,13.
Herunga’s time was the sixth fastest overall, while Mayova’s was the eighth fastest time which saw her grabbing the eighth and final spot.
Boxing at its best - Tobias

Namibian boxing promoter Nestor Tobias has called on Namibian fans to come out in big numbers for the boxing bonanza on July 28, saying they will witness Namibian boxing at its best.
The bonanza which will be held at Ramatex, will see Paulus “The Rock” Ambunda fighting William Prado of Argentina in a WBO bantamweight world title eliminator, while Paulus “The Hitman” Moses will take on South Africa’s Cassius Baloyi in an international lightweight fight and Tyson Ushona will face another South African Isaac Hlatshwayo in an international welterweight fight.
