Simon, Groenewald square up
Submitted by editor on Thu, 05/24/2012 - 16:46.Harry Simon and Ruben Groenewald came face to face in Windhoek on Thursday and both predicted victories in their upcoming light heavyweight fight which will take place at the SKW Hall in Windhoek on June 23.
Groenewald, a former World Boxing Union middleweight champion, said he had trained very hard and was ready for the fight. He said he first met Harry Simon in 2000 when he was his sparring partner in London.
Namibians named to Cosafa committees

Namibia received an honour when six members of the Namibia Football Association were named to the Confederation of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) Standing Committees which were recently announced.
The president of the NFA John Muinjo is a member of the executive committee as well as the chairman of the Referees Committee.
Jacqui Shipanga of the NFA Women’s Desk and Klaus Stark, the NFA’s technical director were both elected to Cosafa’s technical committee, while the head of the NFA’s Women’s Desk, Jacky Gertze was elected to Cosafa’s Women’s Desk.
