Samaria, Stars part ways

African Stars spokesman and board member Beau Kauta on Wednesday announced that they had parted ways with coach Bobby Samaria by mutual consent after a meeting on Monday.

“We have parted ways with Bobby Samaria by mutual consent. There is no issue of being fired or having resigned, we just took a decision in the best interests of the club and decided to move forward,” he said.

Kauta expressed his appreciation for Samaria’s services and wished him well for the future.

Tura Magic, Rundu Chiefs lead promotion race

Tura Magic and Rundu Chiefs look well set to gain promotion to the Namibia Premier League after both extended their leads in the Southern and Northern Stream First Divisions respectively over the weekend.

Tura Magic won both their matches in the Southern Stream First Division, beating Unam 7-0 on Saturday and Windhoek United 2-0 on Sunday.

Tura Magic now comfortably lead the log with 46 points from 19 matches and are eight points ahead of second placed Monitronic College.
