Wanderers beat Suburbs 16-13

Wanderers beat Western Suburbs 16-13 in the FNB Derby that launched the 2012 rugby season in Namibia on Saturday.

Playing in front of a large crowd at the Wanderers field, Wanderers streaked into a 10-0 lead but Suburbs clawed their way back to level the match at 13-all midway through the second half.

Wanderers however won a penalty in the final minute that Haico Prinsloo put over to secure the victory.

Tigers beat Blue Waters

Tigers beat Blue Waters 2-1 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Saturday to remain in touch with the frontrunners in the Namibia Premier League.

Paulus Job gave Blue Waters the lead after 17m but Tigers struck back with goals by Willem Mwedihanga and Benson Shilongo to claim the victory and move up to 23 points in fifth position.

Tigers are just 3 points behind second placed SKW and just a point behind African Stars and Civics, who play Orlando Pirates on Sunday.
