Civics thrashed Hotspurs 5-0 on Friday night to join second placed African Stars on 24 points on the log.
Donelly Nel opened the scoring on 11m when he headed in a rebound from a corner, while Sadney Urikhob made it 2-0 on 40m after a great solo goal.
He latched onto a Steven Gariseb pass, turned on the pace to dribble past a defender and sent a 20m shot flying into the left hand corner.

FNB Namibia and Global United on Friday launched the FNB Global United Climate Kick in Namibia at the Namutoni Primary School in Katutura.
This is the third time the event takes place in Namibia, having been a forerunner of the World Cup for the first time in 2010 and then on a bigger scale in Otavi, coinciding with the launch of the Ohorongo's Energy-For-Future bush-breaking technology.
