Pirates beat Hotspurs 4-1

Orlando Pirates got back to winning ways with a 4-1 victory against Hotspurs on Friday night.

Their young striker Nicky Musambani scored two goals, while Lucky Kooper and Gustav Isaack from the penalty spot scored the other goals. Jacky Stephanus replied for Hotspurs.

The scoreline however flattered Pirates as Hotspurs had a player sent off and conceded a dubious penalty.

Hotspurs did the early attacking with midfielder Riaan Cloete, playing against his former club for the first time, in the thick of things.

Moses pays courtesy call to Nujoma

Malakia Helindi, Paulus Moses, Sam Nujoma and Nestor Tobias.

Paulus Hitman Moses paid a courtesy call on Namibia’s Founding President Sam Nujoma on Friday ahead of his scheduled WBO lightweight world title fight against Ricky Burns.

Moses’ promoter Nestor Tobias thanked Nujoma for accepting them, saying that wanted his blessing ahead of the Hitman’s world title showdown with Burns.

“The Hitman is going to fight for the world title in Scotland on March 10 where he will represent the Namibian nation. I ask our founding father to pray for us and to give us his blessing and strength to go and fight for our nation,” he said.
