Free State beat Namibia by 7 wickets

Gerrie Snyman

Free State beat Namibia by seven wickets in their CSA One-Day Challenge match on Sunday. Namibia scored 196/6 off their 40 overs, which was never going to be enough and the Free State reached the winning target with nine balls to spare and seven wickets in hand.

Sent in to bat, Namibia started off slowly, losing Ewald Steenkamp early on for only four runs. When JB Burger was dismissed for 24 and Craig Williams soon after for 9, Free State were in control, but Gerrie Snyman joined Sarel Burger to swing the match back into Namibia’s favour.
