Stars held to second successive draw

Dennis Ngueza

Defending champions African Stars were held to a second successive draw as they shared the spoils against SKW on Wednesday night. Edison Muheua gave Stars the lead from the penalty spot on 31 minutes, but SKW struck back through a fine header by Alfred Ndyenge shortly after the break.

Stars did the early attacking with their new winger Edwin Korukuve especially prominent against his former team mates.

He headed over the bar after only two minutes and then provided several inviting crosses from the left wing that his strikers failed to put away.
