Haikali launches campaign for NFA presidency

Prominent businessman Ranga Haikali launched his campaign for the presidency of the Namibia Football Association in Windhoek on Wednesday, while another prominent businessman and the current chairman of the Namibia Premier League Johnny Doeseb announced his candidature for the vice presidency.

Ndyenge called up to Brave Warriors squad

SKW’s newly signed striker Alfred Ndyenge has been called up to the national squad for the first time, while Tangeni Shipahu, has been recalled, in preparation for Namibia’s opening 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Gambia on September 4.

National coach Tom Saintfiet announced a 29-man squad which will go into camp on Sunday, August 22 ahead of the match which will take place in the Gambian capital Banjul on the weekend of September 3 - 5.

Namibia to participate at U20 Zone VI Games

Rusten Mogane, Mara Kandjiriomuini and Bernard Kaanjuka

Namibia will participate at the Under 20 Zone VI Youth Games due to be held in Swaziland from 9 to 20 December 2010.

This was announced by the Chief Administrator of the Namibia Sports Commission (NSC) Rusten Mogane on Wednesday.

“A management team in Namibia consisting of officials from the Sports Commission and government with assistance from sports code officials has set up a competent team that will be participating at the games,” Mogane said.

The Namibian team will start with preparations when they have their first training camp in August.
