As a result of the poor showing of Namibian athletes at the just ended Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, the Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) has called on a change of attitude of sports administrators in order for sport in Namibia to be successful.

The NNOC Secretary General, Abner Xoagub, said this at a press conference on Tuesday.

“Administrators and managers need to up their game if we are going to go anywhere with our sport in Namibia. We need to get serious,” Xoagub said.

Uganda, Namibia, Kenya remain unbeaten

Zambia

The Ugandan U19 team, who ended winners of the 2009 ICC Africa U19 CWCQ, continued their winning ways on Monday. For the second day in a row, the Ugandan bowling attack bowled their opposition out for under a hundred. Prize bowler for Uganda was Faruk Ochimi with four Tanzanian wickets for 20 runs. The Tanzania attack hardly troubled the Ugandans, who knocked the target off in 16 overs.
