Mariental leading rugby log

Mariental find themselves at the top of the MTC Premier League log at the end of round five. This is after they won against Western Suburbs due to a forfeit on Saturday.

Suburbs refused to drive to Stampriet to play a league match that had originally been scheduled for the rugby pitch in Mariental. Willy Steenkamp of the Namibian Rugby Union (NRU) said that Suburbs had been notified of the change in venue in time hence they had forfeited the match by not going to Stampriet.
