Awesome racing at the coast

When I heard that Obeco and Southey were combining to host the second leg of the MotoX and QuadX championship outside Swakopmund, I knew I’d better go and check it out. I’m glad I did because it turned out to be a Dirt Bike Bonanza of note.
When I got there I couldn’t believe my eyes. Rudi Brand and his team from the coast had designed an incredible track. They had a jump there that was only slightly smaller than Dune 7. And the rest of the track was way out there. I mean Xtreme radical.
Welwitschias finish second last
Submitted by editor on Mon, 04/19/2010 - 15:21.Namibia’s Welwitschias finished second last out of eight teams in the North Section of the Vodacom Cup competition after losing their final Pool match 51-20 to the Golden Lions on Friday.
The Lions, who led 27-6 at halftime, scored seven tries to collect a maximum five bonus points, which saw them finishing second on the log behind the Blue Bulls.
The Bulls maintained their unbeaten status after beating the Griffons 40-26 on Saturday. In other North Section matches over the weekend, the Leopards beat the Pumas 33-29, and the Griquas beat the Falcons 60-12.
