Namibia struggling against Northerns

Louis Klazinga

Namibia were struggling at the end of the first day of their three-day Cricket South Africa Challenge match against Northerns in Pretoria on Thursday. Namibia were all out for 155 runs and at the close of play Northerns had reached 94 for the loss of only one wicket.

Namibia won the toss and elected to bat, but were immediately in trouble when Willem Groenewald was out caught behind for a duck off the second ball of the day.

Gerhard Rudolph soon followed for 3, but Raymond van Schoor joined Wian van Vuuren to put on 57 runs for the third wicket.
