Eagles beat Namibia by five wickets

The Mashonaland Eagles beat Namibia’s Desert Vipers by five wickets in a thrilling Zimbabwean Stanbic Bank 20/20 Series match in Harare on Monday.

After Namibia had scored 142/6 in their 20 overs, the match went down to the wire as Zimbabwe reached the winning total with only four balls remaining.

Namibia batted first and soon lost the wickets of Jacques Rudolph (1), Raymond van Schoor (15) and Craig Williams (5) with only 24 runs on the board.

FIFA Technical Director to Visit Namibia

The Namibia Football Association will host FIFA Technical Director Jean-Michel Bénézet early next month as development projects come under the spotlight. Confirming this news on Monday, NFA secretary General Barry Rukoro expressed his delight with the visit.

“It is a great pleasure for Namibia to have Bénézet here since he is the man responsible for most of the developmental projects. We currently have a lot of these projects and would be pleased to hear from him down here,” Rukoro stated.

He added the NFA was proud of what it had achieved so far.

These two cyclists lost their balance and crashed just in front of the finish line. The cyclist on the left was immediately treated for a cut on her head by medical personnel at the scene.
