Novo Hamburgo new World Club Champions

Novo Hamburgo

Novo Hamburgo from Brazil beat Linz-Urfahr 3-0 to win their fourth World Club championship title at the SKW Sports Club, Windhoek on Saturday.

The match was very close in the first set with both teams giving as much as they received. The scores were tied at 8-8 when Christian Koller of Linz had three consecutive service errors that gave their opponents the set, which they won 11-8.

Poor service again got the better of Linz and Hamburgo took advantage and at a point led 8-2. Linz tried to make a comeback but failed and lost the second set 11-6.
