Submitted by editor on Fri, 10/01/2010 - 21:53.Tigers caused a major upset when they beat Black Africa 1-0 in a hard fought encounter on Friday night. Tigers took the lead through a great header by Pineas Jacob just before halftime and then defended resolutely in the second half to shut out BA’s attacks and hold out for the victory.
There was not much to enthuse about in the first half as neither team created many opportunities. Black Africa had the most ball possession but rarely threatened Tigers’ defence as they passed the ball from flank to flank, probing for openings.
