Tyc takes the title

Tyc Kakehongo

By Chris Buckland

In a close encounter at the Wanderers Tyc Kakehongo put defeat in last month’s Top 16 behind him as he overcame Angelo Titus 3:1 (11-8, 13-11, 8-11, 11-9) in a breathtaking Men’s final of The Namibian sponsored Windhoek Closed squash tournament.

After Tyc took the tight first game and stole the second with a well-timed cross-court “nick”, youngster Angelo upped his game and sprinted and stretched his way back
into the match, winning the third game – the first that Tyc had dropped all tournament.
