Western Suburbs staged a strong second half recovery to beat Jaguars 34-21 in an MTC Rugby Premier League match at Suburbs Park on Saturday. Jaguars gave a spirited performance and took a 14-10 lead at halftime, but Suburbs’ experience showed after the break as they ran in three second half tries to comfortably win the match.
Left wing McGrath van Wyk gave a great performance scoring a fine try, two penalties and four conversions for a personal tally of 19 points.
A hattrick by Jerome Louis gave Black Africa a comfortable 3-0 victory against Chief Santos at the Windhoek Independence Stadium on Saturday night. Santos created numerous chances in the first half but failed to take them, whereas Louis displayed his great finishing skills, creating goals out of nothing.
Chief Santos did the early attacking with Sam Shingenge putting in some strong runs down the right wing, while Laurentius Louw and Theo Tsowaseb were sharp in attack.
