Goal scorers race intensifies

The Namibia Premier League goal scorer of the season competition intensified over the weekend with all of the early pace setters scoring goals. Black Africa striker Jerome Louis maintained his position at the top of the chart after scoring a hattrick against Mighty Gunners on Sunday. Louis has now moved up to nine goals from nine matches to move two goals clear at the top of the chart.

Tigers striker Tangeni Shipahu moved up to seven goals after scoring two penalties in Tigers’ 5-2 defeat to Eleven Arrows on Saturday.

Brave Warriors squad announced

Brave Warriors coach Tom Saintfiet on Tuesday announced a 30-man squad of local-based players for a national training camp that will be held from February 9 to 11. The squad, which includes several national U17 and U20 players and six new players in total, will finish the training camp off with a friendly match against Angolan Premier League side Recreativo de Caala on February 11 at a venue still to be determined.
