The affairs of Athletics Namibia (AN) were thrown deeper into disarray after the international motherbody, the IAAF, denounced the Interim Committee running AN and insisted that the former executive board of Athletics Namibia organise its general assembly to elect a new president on February 28.

The Interim Committee had earlier declared the proposed February 28 congress invalid and illegal, saying that it would only recognise its own special elective congress set for March 14.

Ramblers have re-appointed Tollie van Wyk and Dave Fransman as co-coaches after parting ways with Eric Muinjo and Seun Stuurman. Van Wyk and Fransman resigned from Ramblers at the end of September 2008 shortly after Muinjo was appointed as technical director of the club.

Ramblers however have had a poor season and currently lie 10th out of the 12 Premier League teams.
According to a press statement issued by Ramblers’ chairman Harald Hecht, it was decided to re-appoint Van Wyk and Fransman, due to the future unavailability of Muinjo, due to work commitments.
