LP van der Westhuizen

The visiting British Combined Services cricket team suffered a comprehensive eight-wicket defeat to a Namibian Invitation team in Windhoek on Monday. The visitors were under pressure from the start, losing their opening batsmen early on. Upton was run out to a fine throw by Gerhard Rudolph, while captain Fulton was caught behind off the bowling of Louis Klazinga.

From then on wickets fell regularly as only three batsmen could reach double figures.
Lower order batsman Sanneck top scored with 37, as the visitors were all out for only 138 runs.
