BA end Stars' unbeaten run

Lolo Goraseb

Ali Akan made a victorious start as Black Africa’s coach, leading them to an emphatic 3-0 victory against nine-man African Stars at Windhoek’s Independence Stadium on Saturday. In a dramatic match in front of about 5 000 spectators, lady luck deserted Stars as they had two players sent off and despite fighting bravely till the end, they were clearly outnumbered and suffered their first defeat of the season in the process.

BA took an early lead when captain Lolo Goraseb found the ball in space and struck a 20m shot from the edge of the box into the corner of the net.
