South African duo win tennis titles
Submitted by editor on Fri, 08/01/2008 - 12:10.South Africa’s Nikala Scholtz and Christi Potgieter won the boys and girls singles titles respectively at the South and Central African ITF Junior Tennis Championships in Windhoek on Friday.
The top seeded Scholtz beat compatriot Juan de Villiers 6-4, 6-4 with a break of serve in each set. De Villiers matched Scholtz’s groundstrokes, but could not find a way past Scholtz’ powerful serves.
