NFA to deal with drunk players

The Namibia Football Association has issued a stern warning that the perpetrators of Saturday’s destruction at a Witbank hotel will be dealt with.

The Kickoff website reported that drunk Namibian players went on the rampage in Witbank on Saturday night, trashing a room at their hotel and causing damage estimated at R5 000.

Johannes wins PWC Road Race

Namibia’s running wonder girl, Helalia Johannes, sailed to victory in the Price Waterhouse Coopers 15km Road Race on Saturday in 52 minutes, improving her 2007 record time by about two minutes.

Craven’s good form continues

Namibian cyclist Dan Craven continued his good form of late when he came third in the 175km Inda Grand Prix in Caravate, Italy on Sunday.

After his FidiBC.com team mate Jaro Marycz helped him to win the Crystal Energie Grand Prix on July 19, it was Craven’s turn to repay the favour and he did so by helping Marycz to victory on Sunday.
