It finally happened! Tommy Gous was the winner of the day with a maximum number of 60 points and the treasured ASTRA-Trophy for the â??King of the Dirtâ? race also became his. The fact that Rainer Becker was absent, is not really a blemish for Tommy. He won all his races bravely and was finally spared with technical problems on his Zenner-Yamaha. But more of that later.

The friendly rugby match between a Namibian invitation team and Vodacom Western province will go ahead this weekend after MTC and the Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) resolved their differences.

MTC had earlier objected to the staging of the game because FNB Namibiaâ??s sponsorship was in conflict with MTCâ??s rights on the national team.
