Ramblers looking strong
Submitted by editor on Mon, 03/31/2008 - 18:39.Ramblers finished the first round of the MTC Namibia Premier League on a high note when they beat their closest rivals Cymot SKW 2-0 on March 9 to go two points clear at the top of the log.
The match had to be replayed after a thunderstorm ended the first encounter prematurely after about 35 minutes. At that stage Ramblers were already leading 2-0 through goals by John Samson and Nelson Akwenye, but in a near carbon copy of that match, Ramblers once again beat SKW 2-0 in the replay a week later. Samson and Akwenye were once again the goal scorers while Bradley Wermann gave an inspired performance in midfield, providing both the goals.
