DTS beat Wanderers 5-4
Submitted by editor on Fri, 02/01/2008 - 21:55.DTS held out to beat Wanderers 5-4 on Friday night, but they had to withstand a late onslaught by Wanderers to register their first victory of the season.
DTS seemed to be heading for an easy victory when they streaked into a 5-1 lead shortly after halftime, but Wanderers staged a great fightback and nearly snatched a point.

DTS opened the scoring through a fine goal by Chantelle Fourie, but Wanderers soon equalised through Madelyn Lessing.
Uutoni wins gold in Algiers
Submitted by editor on Fri, 02/01/2008 - 10:36.Namibian bantamweight boxer Jahet Uutoni won a gold medal at the first Africa Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Algiers, Algeria on January 31.
In the final Uutoni completely overshadowed Sulemane Bilali of Kenya from the start. By the fourth round the Kenyan retired hurt and the fight was awarded to Uutoni on a technical knockout.
