Submitted by admin on Tue, 12/09/2008 - 15:26.Brazil’s national A and B inline hockey teams arrived in Windhoek on Monday for a week long tour that will culminate in national matches against Namibia A and B in Swakopmund over the weekend. Directly after their arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Airport they were whisked off to the DTS Hall in Olympia for a warm-up tournament against some of Namibia’s leading club sides.

Siedentopf wins silver
Submitted by admin on Tue, 12/09/2008 - 08:43.Max Siedentopf won Namibia’s first medal at the SADC Zone 6 Youth Games when he came second in the 50m breaststroke final. In the process he broke his own for the fourth time over the past week. Siedentopf has been in great form and twice broke Jorg Lindemeier’s Namibian record of 32,39 seconds at the African Senior Championships in Johannesburg last week. In the heats he set a new record of 32,36 and in the final he came sixth in a new record time of 32,08.
