Athletics Namibia’s presidential elections ended in a dramatic tie on November 22 when the two candidates Alpha Kangueehi and Frank Fredericks each drew four votes. The incumbent, Kangueehi, held the elections in Katima Mulilo in an attempt to increase his chances of winning a second four-year term as president. The venue made it difficult for other AN regions to attend and according to the constitution only executive council members would be refunded for their travelling and accommodation expenses.
