Inter Series 2008

Bernd Kroemer takes a look at some of the teams that will participate in this year’s Inter Series Motocross Challenge at the Gallina Race Track on November 8 and 15. In this article he brings a preview of the Dutch team.

The “Flying Dutchman” Mart de Jong started racing in 1990 in the 80cc Class.
In 1995 Mart competed in the Dutch Championships 125cc Class and finished that year in eighth place.
In 1998, because he grew so tall, he moved over to the 250cc Class and finished 10th overall.

Namibia tumbles five places

The Brave Warriors’ 1-0 loss to Kenya in last month’s World Cup and African Cup of Nations qualifier has resulted in them going five places down on the Coca-Cola/FIFA rankings released by the world’s football governing body on Wednesday.
The national team has dropped down to 126th in the world rankings. The Warriors did not play any other FIFA-sanctioned match in October apart from the Kenya match which was played in Nairobi on October 6.

Brave Warriors prepare for Zimbabwe

The Brave Warriors held their first full training sessions on Monday in preparation for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe, with most of their foreign based professionals being present.
Only Meraai Swartbooi of Primeiro de Agosto and Henrico Botes of Platinum Stars were absent after withdrawing from the squad last week. Both requested not to be called up since they had not regained full fitness.
