Nominees for Rugby presidency

The Namibia Rugby Union on Monday announced the nominations for the upcoming NRU presidential and general elections at its annual general meeting on November 8.
Dirk Conradie, who has served as NRU president for the past 10 years, indicated that he will not stand for the post of president anymore and will step down after his second five-year term comes to an end.
In his absence, four people will contest the presidency, while nominations for the post of vice president and executive members of the NRU have also been received.

Craven fourth at Amashovashova Race

Namibian cyclist Dan Craven came fourth in the Pick n Pay Amashovashova cycling race in Durban, South Africa on Sunday.
Veteran South African cyclist Malcolm Lange won the race in a sprint to the line to win his sixth Amashovashova title of his career.

Supercycling.co.za reports:

Lange, the 34-year-old Team MTN Energade sprinter timed his finishing kick to perfection to outpace a small breakaway group to the line in a fast 2hrs25min33sec, edging out rising sprint star Arran Brown (House of Paint) in the lunge for the finish.
