Namibia to host Cosafa U17 Championships

Namibia will host the Cosafa Under 17 soccer tournament in Windhoek in December, the NFAâ??s spokesprson Beau Kauta announced at the NFAâ??s Soccer House on Monday.
â??Namibia has been given the right to host the Cosafa Under 17 tournament in Windhoek. This will provide us with a great opportunity to learn how to handle bigger events,â? Kauta said.

Katjimune pre-selected for AFCON officiating

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected leading Namibian referee Mathew Katjimune along with other leading referees on the continent for pre-selection in order to officiate at the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ghana next year.

WOB win womenâ??s hockey title

Windhoek Old Boysâ?? ladies team came from behind to win the Omina Supplies Womenâ??s Field Hockey Premier League title on September 22.

The defending champions, Wanderers were leading the log going into the final round of matches, but suffered two defeats in a row which allowed WOB to snatch the title from under their noses.
