Namibiaâ??s national womenâ??s football team, the Brave Gladiators will play their South African counterparts, Banyana Banyana in a friendly match in Johannesburg on Sunday, May 13.
The womenâ??s football desk of the Namibia Football Association announced that South Africa had invited Namibia for the friendly match, to help the South Africans in their preparations for the All Africa Games as well as their second round Olympic qualifying match against Zimbabwe.
Namibian cyclist Marc Basssingthwaighte came 40th at the Heubach Mountain Bike Cross Country Race on May 6.
The race formed part of the German Cross Country series and saw some of the world's leading mountain bikers participating.
Erik Hoffmann, Namibian national cyclist riding in Europe for professional Team 3C Group-Lamonta, finished second on May 6 in the Baden-WÃ¼rttemberg Championships in Ellmendingen in German.
The 26-year old watched as Martin Lang of Team Aqua-RÃ¶mers beat him across the line. "It's a pity, I was eager to win, but Martin Lang was the stronger sprinter today", conceded Hoffmann.
