The Namibian Football Association announced today that SKW had won its case for using an unregistered player.
The acting secretary general of the NFA, Barry Rukoro said that SKW had been fined N$4 000 but would not be deducted six points for using Arend von Stryk against Blue Waters and Eleven Arrows.

Bank Windhoek on Wednesday announced a long-term partnership with the Namibia National Olympic Committee amounting to a sponsorship of N$320 000 over three years.
Marlize Horn the senior manager of marketing and corporate communication services of Bank Windhoek said that the aim of the sponsorship is to adequately prepare Namibian athletes for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.

Okahandja Beauties recorded two huge victories in the Khomas Womenâ??s Football League over the weekend.
Strengthened by the return of their national players, Beauties crushed Osire Angels 20-0 on Saturday and Poly Babes 15-0 on Sunday.

Namibia stands on the verge of making cricketing history.
In their first season competing in the South African Airways Cup competition, Namibia were leading their group last month and with only two matches left, were nearly certain of reaching the semifinals of the competition.

In the most tightly contested MTC Namibia Premier League in recent years, defending champions Civics held a slight lead over Black Africa at the end of the first round last month.
Civics and BA were both on 21 points after 11 matches, followed by Oshakati City on 20 and Ramblers and Tigers on 18 points each.

North West Dragons beat Namibia by 56 runs in their SAA Cup match on February 24, to set up an exciting finale in the limited overs competition.
Namibia were leading Group A before the match but have now been overtaken by Griquas who are on 23 points. Namibia follow on 22 points, while third-placed Northerns are also on 23 points. Namibia will play Northerns in their final SAA Cup group match in Windhoek on March 4, and will have to win the match if they hope to qualify for the semifinals.

Defending champions Orlando Pirates have been drawn to play Omaheke Region champions Tough Guys in the second round of the MTC NFA Cup in Keetmanshoop on Saturday, March 3.
The draw for the MTC NFA Cup second round, which takes place in Keetmanshoop and Otjiwarongo this coming Saturday, was made at the NFA headquarters, Soccer House in Katutura this morning.

Orlando Pirates beat Tigers 1-0 in a rather dull MTC NFA Cup first round match in Mariental on Sunday.
There was drama early on when a shot by Tigers striker Dokkies Schmidt was cleared off the line, while Pirates keeper Harry Januarie saved from Pinias Jacob in the 11th minute.

Ramblers beat Friends 4-2 in an entertaining MTC NFA Cup first round match in Mariental on Sunday.
Friends were still in with a chance when the teams were tied 1-all at halftime, but Ramblers turned up the tempo in the second half to run out comfortable winners. Ramblersâ?? victory was also sweet revenge after Friends had won their previous encounter 1-0 in a league match in Rehoboth.
