Black Africa became the new log leaders after beating Civics on Wednesday, but Orlando Pirates have a chance of reclaiming the top spot if they beat African Stars at the Sam Nujoma Stadium tonight.
Strydom beats top seed
Submitted by editor on Thu, 11/01/2007 - 15:58.NamibiaÅ? Jurgens Strydom put in a great performance to beat the top seeded Matteo Volante of Italy in the quarterfinals of the ITF MenÅ? Futures Tennis Tournament on November 1.
Strydom wore the Italian down with strong ground strokes and powerful serves, but once he won the first set 6-4, the Italian seemed to give up.
Celliers is national time trial champion
Submitted by editor on Thu, 11/01/2007 - 08:15.Jacques Celliers of the Prowealth team continued his fine form of late when he won the Emcon Namibian National Time Trial Championships outside Windhoek on October 28.
Celliers covered the 37,5km route on the Brakwater road in a time of 48 minutes 16 seconds, which was eight seconds faster than his winning time over the same course last year.
Black Africa beat Civics

Jerome Louis scored the winning goal midway through the second half after receiving a fine defence splitting pass from Tjono Jagger to coolly slot the ball past Civicsâ?? keeper Esau Tjiouro.
