Namibia beat Uganda

Namibia beat Uganda by 26 runs in their final group match at the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 on November 30.

The victory ensures that Namibia will play out for the third place and qualify for the Dubai 2009 tournament where the top teams will go through to the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

A season to remember

In Namibian motocross circles the year 2007 will be remembered very positively as each of the eleven races had its highlights.
The fact that a foreigner was the overall winner does not hurt, since Ross Branch from Botswana brought the average speed of the Namibians to another, higher level.

Brave Warriors coach Ben Bamfuchile and NFA acting secretary general Barry Rukoro have refuted claims that Bamfuchile has resigned as national coach.

The Namibian newspaper reported on November 29 that Bamfuchile had resigned following differences with the N FA, specifically regarding his lack of transport.

Uganda thrash Argentina

Uganda easily beat Argentina by nine wickets in their ICC World Cricket League Division 2 match at the CCD Field on Wednesday, November 28.
Argentina won the toss and elected to bat but they were soon in trouble as both openers, Matias Paterlini and Bernardo Irgoyen were dismissed for only 13 on the board.

Oman beat Denmark

Oman beat Denmark by six wickets in their ICC World Cricket League Division 2 match on Wendnesday, November 28, to stay on course for a place in the final.
Denmark won the toss and elected to bat.

UAE beat Namibia after great run chase

The UAE staged a great comeback to beat Namibia by five wickets in their ICC Cricket World League Division 2 at the Wanderers field on Wednesday, November 28.

Namibia seemed to have done enough to secure victory when they posted a huge total of 358 for 7 off their 50 overs, but UAE responded brilliantly to reach the winning target with four overs to spare.

United Stars stay top

United Stars from Rundu maintained their lead in the Northern Stream First Division when they picked up a maximum six points over the weekend.

On November 24, they beat Epupa 11 Stars 2-1 at the Ruacana Sport Stadium and the following day they beat Onambule United 2-0 at the Tsandi Sport Stadium.

Brilliant century by Snyman

Gerrie Snyman continued his brilliant batting form at the ICC World Cricket league Division 2, with a sparkling innings of 195 runs against the United Arab Emirates on November 28.

Snyman clubbed the hapless UAE bowlers to all corners of the field as Namibia racked up a formidable total of 358 for the loss of six wickets off their 50 overs.

All set for FNB Cup showdown
