It is rare to hear professionals speculating about play-offs, even more so on the first day of a tournament, but that was exactly the case at the close of round one play at the MTC Namibia PGA Championship today.

Zimbabweans take the lead at MTC PGA

Marc Cayeux, one of the most prolific winners of Open titles in Southern Africa, took a share of the early clubhouse lead today in the first round of the R700,000 MTC Namibia PGA Championship on Thursday, October 18.

Nations Cup draw tomorrow

The Brave Warriors along with other 15 countries that qualified for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) will know whom they are drawn against by tomorrow afternoon. The draw ceremony will take place in Accra, Ghana where CAF President Issa Hayatou will be the main speaker.

Messrs Waldschmidt is engaged in Moto-X for decades already. Eckhard and his younger brother Ingo were at the helm of the Windhoek Moto Cross Club (WMCC) for many years and it was during their reigns that the WMCC progressed most, shining sample is the Gallina Motocross Park, which was built on the Waldschmidt Egg farm. Both Waldschmidts also excelled during their careers as mx-riders and Ingo is still active tackling the Paris-Dakar Rally in January 2008. Waldschmidt Eggs will be the patron for the team from South Africa.

Morocco beat Namibia 2-0

Morocco beat Namibia 2-0 in a friendly match in Rabat on October 17.
About 15 000 spectators turned up to watch the friendly match at the Rabat Sport Complex which formed part of Namibiaâ??s preparations for the African Cup of Nations in January next year.
